To provides the best-accelerated computer coding and computer networking learning experience for adult learners through hands-on training and small class sizes, bringing students from little to no coding our computer networking experience to job-ready.

Location

Alambda Systems is located in the heart of downtown St. Louis on Duncan Ave. We are located on the 2th floor of the Cortex building. Most of our Classes are attended from our AI ML powered VR Classroom and STEM Planform @ https://www.alambda.world/.

Faculty

James Hill is our current instructor for the Azure Cloud Solution Web Application Program, CCNA Routing & Switching Program, and the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco routing and Switching Network Devices. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Software Management from American Intercontinental University, a Microsoft Azure Web Developer Certification, and a CCNA certification. He has 16 years of CCNA Routing & Switching experience and 10 years of web development, software management, and software architecture experience. He has experience working in various business sectors conducting software development, management, and architecture which includes; banking, utilities, aviation, securities, hedge fund/financial services, insurance, communications, student loans, tech, and government. He has developed applications for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Microsoft. He has taught several corporate courses in CCNA Routing & Switching and computer coding while working in securities and banking.

Sean Kilfoy is one of our Instructors for the Cyber Security CySA+ Program. He has a Master of Science in Cyber Security and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He has over 3 years of experience in Cyber Security Compliance and two years as an Instructor teaching Cyber Security CySA+ at Maryville University. He holds the following certifications: CompTIA Security Analytics Professional (CSAP), CompTIA CySA+ Certification, and CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Hunter Williamson is one of our Instructors for the Cyber Security CySA+ Program. He has experience as a SOC analyst at NTP Cyber Security for over a year and has maintained a leadership role in numerous startups and student organizations. Hunter is currently teaching Cyber Security principles to retirees at Lutheran Senior Services by providing bi-weekly workshops on maintaining excellent cyber hygiene. In addition, Hunter founded and competes with a Collegiate competitive hacking team named Maryville Ethical Hackers and provides weekly Bootcamp materials and trains incoming students. He currently holds the following professional certifications: CompTIA CYSA+, CompTIA Sec+, WatchGuard Firewall MFA professional certifications.

 

 

 

Instructional Method and Equipment

Method:
The Alambda Systems programs are available completely online for students to access from any location. Course material is delivered through various means including interactive content, lectures, multi-media, textbook, and in-person lab. Students are also able to attend all lectures online live via the Web-Ex and the Google Classroom if necessary.
All programs include access to the O’Reilly Learning portal that includes e-books, practice tests, and instructional tutorials. Instructors will assign students to review videos, readings, and practice tests from the O’Reilly platform. Students will also have access to the online Packet Tracer simulator and Cisco Academy platform if enrolled in the CCNA Routing & Switching course or the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco routing and Switching Network Devices course.
Students enrolled Azure Cloud Solution Web Application Program will have access to GitHub and HackerRank for coding portfolio building and will also have access to Azure Portal. Students enrolled in the Cyber Security CySA+ program will have access to the CompTIA education portal with practice tests, e-books, and instructional tutorials. This program allows them to build their web applications. All online portals and applications are accessed via our school subscription.
In both programs, Labs can be done virtually through online simulators or in-person in class. 
Equipment:
Class for the CCNA Routing & Switching Program and the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco routing and Switching Network Devices Program two Routers are used in class during lab and students will set up the router during lab-based on scenarios provided by the instructor or scenarios provided in the Lab companion Guide for the program. Opportunities for interaction with faculty and collaboration with peers are also embedded throughout the courses through both synchronous and asynchronous means. Laptops will be provided to all students enrolled in the class and will be made available to each student on the 1st day of class. Each laptop will have a unique number and each student will be assigned a laptop to use for the duration of the class. All students must have access to the internet for online class instruction. Free internet is available at the T-Rex building where classes are located.
Alambda Systems will not have another laptop for students to use in class or for online instruction if a student forgets to bring their laptop to class. If the laptop is stolen, lost, or damaged while in your possession, you will be responsible for any costs of repair or replacement. Alambda Systems, LLC has no plans to pay for any damages, repairs, or pay to replace a stolen laptop.

Voluntary Internship

The Alambda Learn Voluntary Internship Program will provide hands-on experience to students enrolled in either the CCNA Routing & Switching Program, the Azure Cloud Solutions Web Application Program, the Cyber Security CySA+ Program, or the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco routing and Switching Network Devices Program.

·  Students in the CCNA Routing & Switching Program will be assigned real-world LAN/WAN technology work under the supervision of the class instructor. This internship will enhance LAN/WAN skills and provide extensive knowledge that will garner opportunities for career growth and success.

·  Students in the Azure Cloud Solutions Web Application Program students will be assigned real-world software solutions and development work. Students will have the opportunity to work on projects such as software clients needing development and support services, creating e-Commerce web applications, updating existing client web applications, or helping create new Alambda applications and/or Alambda partnered applications. Using C#, JavaScript, Azure, SQL, and LINQ, this internship will enhance coding and development skills and provide extensive knowledge that will garner opportunities for career growth and success.

·  Students in the Cyber Security Program will be assigned real-world cyber security technology work under the supervision of the class instructor. This internship will enhance Cyber Security CySA+ skills and provide extensive knowledge that will garner opportunities for career growth and success.

·  Students in the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco routing and Switching Network Devices Program will be assigned real-world LAN/WAN Cisco Field technician technology work under the supervision of the class instructor. This internship will enhance Field Technician skills and provide extensive knowledge that will garner opportunities for career growth and success.

Internship Length: 2 months with possible extension determined on a case-by case basis per project total hours per week: 8 hours per week (any additional weekly hours must be approved)

 

Course Descriptions:

CCNA Routing & Switching- 200-125

Course Description

This course consists of Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) and Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2 (ICND2) content merged into a single course. Overlapping content between ICND1 and ICND2 is eliminated and content is rearranged for the purpose of the course flow. Students will learn how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, connecting to a WAN, and identifying basic security threats. It also includes more in-depth topics that teach learners how to perform basic troubleshooting steps in enterprise branch office networks, preparing students for the Cisco CCNA certification.

Upon completing this course, you will have the skills and knowledge to:

        •         Install, operate, and troubleshoot a medium-sized network, including connecting to a WAN and implementing network security.
        •         Describe the effects of new technologies such as IoE, IoT, IWAN, and SDN on network evolution.

Prerequisites:

      •         Basic computer literacy
      •         Basic PC operating system navigation skills.
      •         Basic Internet usage skills
      •         Basic IP address knowledge
      •         Good understanding of network fundamentals

Program Length

The program is 16 weeks and includes 96 clock hours. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Program Designation

After successful completion of the CCNA Routing & Switching Program, Students will receive an Official Certificate of Completion from Alambda Systems, LLC. Students will also sit for the CCNA Routing & Switching 200-125 Exam. Our School will pay for the student to sit and take this Professional certification exam and work with the student to schedule the exam through Pearson Vue. Upon the student successfully passing the exam, students will receive the CCNA Associate level Cisco Career Certification.

IT Development Background

Azure Cloud Solution Web Applications 204

Program Objectives

    • Describe the Microsoft Web Technologies stack and select an appropriate technology to use to develop any given application.
    • Design the architecture and implementation of a Azure cloud based web application that will meet a set of functional requirements, user interface requirements, and address business models.
    • Implement a consistent look and feel, including corporate branding, across an entire Azure web application.
    • Use Azure to create cloud-based applications
    • Creating variables with the proper scope and using operators to build complex expressions
    • Design and use classes
    • Use control structures such as if, while, and for
    • Throw and trap exceptions using the try and catch statements
    • Use single and multi-dimensional arrays
    • Use Visual Studio to create Internet and Intranet applications
    • Create controllers containing action methods to process HTTP requests
    • Create data models by hand, by using typed datasets, and by using the Entity Framework
    • Build and Deploy Node and jQuery within Azure pipeline

Course Description

This 14-week course provides students with hands on experience using and creating cloud based dynamic web applications using Azure. The class provides a thorough introduction to the Azure cloud based programming language, including coverage of the essentials of the Azure language, computing solutions and implementing Azure functions, developing azure storage, implementing security, monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting, and Connect to and consume Azure services and third-party services. Students will also learn Azure SDKs, Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI, data storage options, data connections, APIs deployment, debugging, performance tuning, and monitoring.

Students learn how to leverage the power of cloud-based solutions. Key learning objectives in include creating Azure Apps, Services and Web Apps, Implement Azure functions, develop solution that use blob storage, implement user authentication and authorization, Develop solutions that use Cosmos DB storage,11 Implement IaaS solutions, implement user authentication and authorization, implement secure cloud solutions, Implement API Management. Also, develop App Service Log Apps, Develop Event-based solutions, develop message-based solutions, monitor, and optimize Azure solutions.

This course will prepare the students for Microsoft certification exam: AZ-204 Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure.

Prerequisites:

·        Knowledge of fundamental HTML syntax is helpful, but not required.

·        Knowledge of cloud-based programming helpful, but not required.

·        Prior experience with a scripting or programming language is helpful, but not required.

Program Designation

After successful completion of the Azure Cloud Solutions Web Application Program, Students will receive an Official Certificate of Completion from Alambda Systems, LLC. Students will also sit for the Azure 204 Microsoft Certification Exam, which is a professional Microsoft Certification. Our School will pay for the student to sit and take this certification exam and work with the student to schedule the exam through Pearson Vue. Upon the student successfully passing the exam, students will receive the Azure Cloud Solutions Web Application Microsoft Professional Certificate.

Help Desk Job Training A+/Network+

Program Objectives

    • PC Hardware: Knowledge of personal computer hardware components, including motherboards, CPUs, RAM, and storage devices.
    • Operating Systems: Understanding of different operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
    • Security: Overview of best practices for protecting computer systems, including antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption.
    • Mobile Devices: Knowledge of mobile device hardware and software, including iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile.

This course is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the IT industry as a help desk support professional.

Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco Routing and Switching Networks Devices

Program Objectives

    • Use basic Cisco software configuration and tools: Tera Term, Putty, Trivial File Transfers Protocol (TFTP) server, FTP server, USB Storage, loopback plug, and Windows.
    • Understand network fundamentals, Cisco products, and hardware components
    • Perform remedial services (hardware break/fix) on Cisco products including software and configuration backup and restore, software update/downgrade
    • Recognize connection type and cable requirement
    • Perform basic Layer 1 and basic Layer 2 troubleshooting

Course Description

In this 8-week course students will learn technical skills to diagnose, restore, repair, and replace critical Cisco routing and switching network devices. The course focuses on the skills required for onsite support and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, and operating environments. This course will help Field Engineers identify Cisco router and switch models, accessories, cabling, and interfaces; understand the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (Cisco IOS) software operating modes and identify commonly found software. The engineer will also be able to use the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) to connect and service products.

Prerequisites

·        Basic compute literacy

The program is 8 weeks and includes 40 clock hours. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Program Designation

After successful completion of the CCNA Routing & Switching Program, students will receive an Official Certificate of Completion from Alambda Systems, LLC. Students will also sit for the Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) Supporting Cisco Routing & Switching Network Devices Exam. Our school will pay for the student to sit and take this professional certification exam and work with the student to schedule the exam through Pearson Vue. Upon the student successfully passing the exam, students will receive the Cisco Certified Technician Certification. 

Cyber Security CySA+

Program Objectives

    • Collect and use cybersecurity intelligence and threat data.
    • Identify modern cybersecurity threat actors’ types and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
    • Analyze data collected from security and event logs and network packet captures.
    • Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents using forensic analysis techniques.
    • Assess information security risk in computing and network environments.
    • Implement a vulnerability management program.
    • Address security issues with an organization’s network architecture.
    • Understand the importance of data governance controls.
    • Address security issues with an organization‘s software development life cycle.
    • Use Visual Studio to create Internet and Intranet applications
    • Address security issues with an organization‘s use of cloud and service-oriented architecture.

Course Description

This 14-week hands course covers the duties of cybersecurity analysts who are responsible for monitoring and detecting security incidents in information systems and networks, and for executing a proper response to such incidents. The course introduces tools and tactics to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of common threats, evaluate the organization’s security, collect, and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and handle incidents as they occur.

This course will prepare the students for the Cyber Security CySA+ (Exam CS0-002) certification examination.

Prerequisites:

·        Knowledge of fundamental common concepts for network environments, such as routing and switching but not required.

·        Prior experience with the common operating systems for PCs, mobile devices, and servers.

·        Some knowledge of the concepts and operational framework of common assurance safeguards in computing environments, but not required. Safeguards include authentication and authorization, resource permissions, and anti-malware.


Program Length

The program is 14 weeks and includes 84 clock hours. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Program Designation

After successful completion of the Cyber Security CySA+ program, students will receive an Official Certificate of Completion from Alambda Systems, LLC. Students will also sit for the Cyber Security CySA+ (Exam CS0-002), which is a professional Security Certification. Our School will pay for the student to sit and take this certification exam and work with the student to schedule the exam through Pearson Vue or CompTIA. Upon the student successfully passing the exam, students will receive the Cyber Security CySA+ Professional Certificate.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

CANCELLATION POLICY

Student may cancel their Enrollment Agreement within three working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) of the date signed by the Student and Alambda Systems, LLC. Enrollment Agreements cancelled as such will allow the Student to receive a full refund of all monies paid.

 

REFUND POLICY

After the three-day cancellation period, any Student who withdraws for any reason prior to an immersive Program start date or up to one week into the program receives all monies returned, except for the non-refundable $500 deposit.

 

Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of student notification, or date of school determination (withdrawn due to absences). Refunds after the first week will be pro-rated based on the date of withdrawal in the following amounts:

Note: Students can withdraw at any time for any reason, and they are eligible refund as outlined in the table above if they leave the program during the first 50% of the enrollment period.

ADMISSIONS

Eligibility

The Alambda Systems Azure, Cisco, and Cyber Security Programs require the following to be considered for program admission:

·        Applicants must be 17 years of age or older.

·        Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalency for admission.

·        Applicants must have a strong understanding of science and math.

·        A program Pre-Test is required to be taken during the application process. Program Pre-Tests include 10 questions with variety of true/false, multiple choice questions.

·        Applicants must obtain an 80-pass score or higher on the Program Pre-test to be considered for admission.

Application

Applications are accepted all year round for these programs. In order for applications to be properly processed all students are required to submit the following: an application and all required supporting materials listed below. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
